MD Building Services

Are a leading building, repairs and maintenance specialist working with clients to build stronger and better communities.

MD are a values-driven business, Who believe that a strong value culture is critical to the quality of service they provide and to their own lasting success.

The company deliver works and services for over 50 clients including social landlords, local authorities, charities, insurance companies and national commercial organisations.

The company has over 350 staff and seven offices spread across the UK from Peterborough to Exeter and Bristol to Bagshot. The range of locations, coupled with the need for the majority of staff to be out on sites, makes their need to communicate effectively a business priority.

To ensure that these requirements were met, MD Building Services wanted to find one provider to look after all of the company’s telecom needs that could link mobiles, landlines and hosted phone systems together. They asked FCC to be that company.

FCC’s initial work was to move the company from Vodafone to EE because of the better voice and data coverage the company would receive. In total, over 300 mobiles were involved in the transfer, spread across their seven sites. This potentially complex exercise was carried out with minimal fuss or disruption. A porting manager was assigned for each location and the implementation spread across four days to ensure a smooth transition for the large number of mobile users.

For their hosted phone system needs, we arranged the data connections across all offices which included a mixture of leased line circuits and Fibre to the Cabinet connections all with failover connections to ensure maximum stability.

FCC designed, project managed and delivered the various telecoms elements with minimal business interference, ensuring a very happy customer.
